“The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created; on it he was made to enter Paradise; on it he was expelled from it; and the [last] hour (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) will take place on no day other than Friday.” (Muslim).
For Muslims, Friday is a very special day. It is the day in which our sins are forgiven and our good deeds are rewarded twice as much as the other days.
One of the easiest ways to grab as much rewards as we can is by following the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh). Here are some of the Sunnah that we can practice!
Taking a shower (ghusl; obligatory bath).
Washing every inches of our body.
Wearing nice clothes.
Looking very neat and presentable on this special day. Other than plain shirts, some men prefer to wear baju melayu or kurta on Fridays. Check out this nice and affordable kurta with batik design by Gajoh&Co.
Apply attar (non-alcoholic perfume) .
Smelling nice to ourselves and those around us.
Clip nails/ trim moustache.
Appearing to be hygienic and smart.
Read Surah Al – Kahf.
Will be our shield on the Day Dajjal comes out, also gives light from that Friday to the next Friday.

Make supplications as much as you can.
Humbling ourselves and asking for His Help.
On top of these Sunnah, there are other things that we can do on Friday. We should go early to the mosque, listen attentively to the Khutbah (instead of playing with your phones, aim to get something out of the Khutbah) and recite Durood (selawat) plenty of times.
Just like how we used to be so eager to get good grades in exam, we should also be excited in making efforts to obtain His blessings and rewards. We do not know which of our deeds would be our ticket to Paradise; so let’s give our best in everything that we.
