The Power of Positive Thinking

The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale is the best book to read when you are in a negative flow. It is all about how being optimistic and finding the power to achieve your goals.

It was first published in 1952 after World War II and it is based on the title as it encourages the reader to try his method of positive thinking to live a richer and more rewarding life.

It is believed that there are several elements that go into being successful such as talent, work ethic, education, background, motivation, desire, opportunity, and luck. Peale wants to disregard many of these components of success and says it is mainly faith in your self and God and that is why thinking positive, with the correct habits will create everlasting success, which usually correlates with happiness.

So have faith in your abilities and seek to partner with a power higher than yourself to achieve your goals.

Furthermore, surround yourself with fellow lions and avoid the naysayers and people encompassed by the ‘what-ifs’ and ‘it cannot be done’.

Also, make sure to build people up in nyway you can and seek to find the good in them. This will help you change your outlook on life.

Overall, Peale’s book is a classic that helped people find ways of dealing with problems and become whole and healthy and that is why I recommend it to everyone.
