A platform that includes duas relating to the essence of humanity — emotions.

According to Layali Webzine, Nabeel Khan, the 21-year-old founder and maker of Sujood.Co from Fremont, California got the idea for the dua website when he came across the following hadith:

أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ

“The closest that a servant is to his Lord is when he is in prostration.” (Muslim)

Khan found that he could get closer to Allah through sujood (prostration), but that he still faced one problem — he didn’t know what to say.

“I started to notice that in my sujood, repeating the same dua across prayers was not working,” Khan says. “Our emotions aren’t static, they fluctuate.”

Khan says each dua resource he came across only focussed on external actions like going to the bathroom or wearing new clothes, but he wanted a platform that included duas relating to the essence of humanity — emotions.

And so he did just that, he created a dua’a website featuring 41 different emotions.

Feeling angry? Here’s a dua to remove the anger from your heart.
