Ramadan is a time to come together with your loved ones, and touch base with them. Coca Cola Malaysia is picking up on this sentiment and has rolled out a Ramadan campaign to align the brand and product with the warmth and family ties felt during Ramadan.

For the campaign video, Elfira Loy, a young Malaysian actress who has recently put on a hijab, plays the role of a busy woman.

Her colleague asks her, “Are you going home to break fast today?”

She says she’ll be breaking fast alone.

Then suddenly, Voila, she sees a full bottle of Coke on her dressing table.

She holds it up and by some magical power, she is transformed to the time she has sat down to break fast with her mum.

This is enough to make her call her mum to tell her she will be coming home to break fast. Notice that she has a customized bottle of Coca-Cola with the word ‘Mak’, meaning ‘Mother’.

So what are they trying to tell you here? Sometimes we get too busy in our daily lives that we have no time to spend with our loved ones this Ramadan.

You can watch the full video here :

Coca Cola also wants to show you that it can make personalised cans with anyone’s names on it, so they are going around Klang Valley’s malls in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia so that you can get one for yourself. Check out if you’re one of the few who are could potentially get your name on a Coca Cola can and be the envy of your peers.

I am sorry, but this is such a bad message. Coca cola is not the way to break your fast. What is wrong with our Ummah? Not only that but Coca Cola is a know pro Israel occupation supporter, and when you turn Coca Cola upside down it says No Mecca No muhhamed in Arabic, astaghfirullah. May Allah swt guide the Ummah and wake us up from the brainwashing of what’s popular and famous over following our own religion.
